Would You Like to Write for the Thriving Creative?
Do you have a story about how you felt like a thriving creative, even for just a moment, and how that changed you? Maybe you read a book that inspired, or experienced a project, performance, art piece, or something else that made a difference in your creative life?
Would you be willing to share it with everyone?
Here at the Thriving Creative, my goal is to empower, delight, and inspire people to think differently and unlock their creativity. By sharing your stories (and giving you a chance to get published!), we get to start a new chapter of this journey by inspiring, delighting, and empowering each other!
Now, this is not a “gimme.” We’re going to go through the whole process. You can send either a pitch (which means sending me an idea of what you’d like to write before you put the time into writing it) or a completed piece if you prefer. The total length of the accepted piece will be 750 words or less.
IF your submission fits the guidelines, then the piece will go through the editing process. After the editing is finished, the piece will get into the queue for publication.
On the day of publication, you’ll get an email letting you know that the piece is live. Yay!! Share the piece across every social media outlet you belong to and enjoy the adulation!
At this point, I don’t have a budget to pay anything, but if the piece is accepted, you will get:
To go through the professional editing process with me, with gentle guidance and coaching to empower you to make your writing shine (value of $75/hour)
A clip to add to your resume or include in a pitch letter or website to show you’ve been published by someone who isn’t you!
One month of coaching with me that includes a Zoom coaching session and three weeks of follow-up email check-ins (value $150)
When my writing journey started, I wished that I could get published. If only I could get my foot through that door, then I could make something else happen. Well, as I was considering what I could do to make your creative life better, I realized that I could help YOU get published through this newsletter. So, let’s do this!

As a reminder, here are the guidelines:
Your story/pitch should cover one of the following subjects:
How you felt like a thriving creative, even for just a moment, and how that changed you and/or your creative work
Reviewing a book that inspired you
Relating the experience of a project, performance, art piece, or something else that made a difference in your creative life (could be your creative work or someone else’s)
Another idea that you have that will inspire, delight, or empower your fellow creatives
You may send a pitch or a completed piece. If you are sending a completed piece, the total word count should be 750 words or less.
